This beautiful hunting bar brooch is handmade from 14kt. pink gold with 18kt. yellow gold oak leaves. It comes with brown / ivory-coloured deer teeth (so called 'grandls'). This is truly typical bavarian style.

In ancient times hunting used to be a privilege of princes and noble Lords. Of course, it was a matter of prestige - and so golden grandl or hunting jewellery became a symbol of status among the hunting lords. Due to their shape, grandls were also seen as a symbol of fertility and often worn as amulet. Later, when wealthy farmers were also granted the right to hunt, Hunting jewellery in silver originated.
